The Rossiter Clock returns to the Town Council
The Rossiter Clock in the Town Council’s new chamber was made in the 1870s for the Frampton family, then owners of the Weston Mercury. The clock has been restored by this well-known High Street jewellers and returned on ‘permanent loan’ to its old home. The Mayor welcomed Jeremy and Tim Rossiter to the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and thanked them for their generosity. Cllr Crockford-Hawley said the clock is an elegant feature in the chamber ‘and large enough for all councillors to note the duration of their speeches!
